The Château Bizard Estate

Surprisingly, thanks and because of wine, my entire life changed at a time where my generation was starting to think about retirement.

My family knows well about that destiny. My mother loved that estate.

Having one of her children buy the estate of her father, grandfather and even great-grandfather to restore its original vocation brought her great joy.

Back in 1980, Bizard was a large building in poor condition with only 3 hectares of land.

A great deal has happened since the takeover of the estate. Countless meetings, discussions, interventions, and statements along with quotes, investigations and floods of written documents... This is what it took to restore that land, but also to build, transform, fit out, and modernise it.

The first harvest occurred in 2003, almost a quarter of a century after our initial intent… 23 years of ongoing energy to eventually approach the wine world in today's reality!

Then, Good Mother, why would you get into that much trouble...

For sure, the heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.

But wine is far from being detrimental, as it brings up dialogue and participation to give, hear, see, sense, smell, taste, and share. Winegrower is such a wonderful profession.
