Syrah, Black Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are the southern grape varieties making up this local PGI wine of the Comté de Grignan.
Strong ruby colour with purple lights. It is limpid, fluid and bright. Very aromatic on the nose, it leaves a sense of fresh red fruit bowl supported by spices and herbs. Notes of bourbon and blackcurrant after being allowed to breathe. The acidity is fresh and so are the lively, supple tannins in the finish. Intense aftertaste of cooked fruit aromas on the palate. A delightful wine to serve with cold and grilled meats, young rabbit terrine, parsley-seasoned ham, grilled andouillette, caillette, semi-dry Picodon cheese, as well as Provencal dishes: Papeton d'Aubergine or cold ratatouille.
