Today, our customers show increased interest in our production conditions, but also expectations towards our environmental compliance and the terroir and landscapes preservation.
To address these legitimate concerns, the HVE certification ("High Environmental Value") was introduced as a measure of the Grenelle Environment of 2008 and reinforced by the French EGALIM law ("General Assembly of Food") of 2018.
This certification obtained by Château Bizard in 2018 was initiated in 2012 by the French Ministry of Agriculture. Based on obligations of means and results, it revolves around four indicators:
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Pest Control Strategy
- Soil Fertilization Management
- Water Resource Management
Level 3 is based on obligations to produce measured results on performance.
